Read literally, the English name Oakknow means “the oak knows.” In Western culture, the oak stands for strength, vitality and wisdom. An English proverb puts it well: “Mighty oaks from little acorns grow.” Everything a mighty oak shows — all the height, all the spread — grows out of a single acorn taking root, and rests on a root system we never see. That is what we want to do for a company: put its structure, experience and judgment into the soil. Roots dig deep first; the fruit shows up in the business. Down first, then up: that is Oakknow — what the oak knows.

Oakknow works on business strategy and AI-nativization consulting, mainly serving education institutions and the public sector.

The team is mostly post-’95s, with backgrounds spanning investment banking, consulting, international organizations, and universities.
